"There is a major travel trend booming right now and growing heavily especially due to the new COVID conditions. I’m talking about the RV travel market. RV stands for “Recreational Vehicle”, which means travelling with a mobile home or a camper van. The amount of people who are travelling with an RV is growing 366% and the trend is expected to continue in the coming years. There are around 15 million mobile homes on the road and there are a number of growing options to easily rent them whether you are an expert or it’s your first time trying it.
What are the advantages of RV travelling?
1. Reconnect with Nature: There is no better way to reconnect with nature and rural isolated zones than travelling by RV. From morning walks to picnic table meals, to hide and seek under the stars. There are tons of studies that point to the rejuvenating effects of time spent outside.
2. Social Distancing: You will travel and have fun with your inner circle, while doing it in a safe and secure environment.
3. Freedom and Flexibility: You decide your journey on a daily basis. Drive, stop, enjoy, sleep here or there. Do whatever you feel like and when you want to. Adapt to what you find during the trip. There is no other way to travel that brings you so much freedom. Doesn’t it sound great?
4. Group Travelling: With friends or family. Camper road trips are perfect to do on your own with your family or with a group of friends by creating your own atmosphere and peace. And now, more than ever, we need to stick together with our loved ones.
5. Short Trips: A clear change in travel trends due to the COVID situation is that people tend to travel more often, taking shorter trips. Camper or caravan trips are perfect for short vacations and breaks. A long weekend, a bank holiday, just one night. No matter what, you can go from crowded urban lifestyle to nature and ecotourism in a couple of hours, either by owning or renting a vehicle.
6. Value Price: The price range can change a lot depending on the vehicle and distance, but in general terms, since you travel, sleep and cook inside the vehicle, these are trips highly budget-friendly. Even if you get a luxury mobile home, the price will be lower than a really good hotel, plus it includes everything you need.
7. Pet-friendly: It’s becoming more and more convenient to travel with pets everywhere, but still not all vacations are ideal for our furry friends. Mobile homes or camper trips are perfect to take your pet with you.
