5 How to be grateful comentada em 06/01/2022 19:24 #VAILAEFALA! In silence, when nobody is looking, we ask. In the moments of hopelessness, we ask. At the height of turmoil, we ask. And we ask for big things: for someone to understand us, for us to achieve success, for our plans to work out. Every request is a transfer of power. We want some cosmic entity to take over our burdens. Better not to owe favours to the heavens. Better to cancel the orders and get down to action, to actively care for the only things we do have: a lifespan on the pale blue dot, a limited set of tools. To the gods just ask them to look the other way, to the universe, just ask it not to interfere. Or, better still, just ask for one thing: the ability to be grateful.
