And the best phrasal verb of them all:

to make do with/without = to manage to live without things that you would like to have.

Ex: “As we cannot travel for the time being, we make do with beautiful settings in movies.”

What have you guys learned to make do without these last months?

Some examples:

“Instead of making excuses for not doing sports, we got to make do with gym apps.”

“We can make do without going to the theatre but not without Netflix.”

“We made little progress at doing the cooking, made an attempt to follow the recipe but ended up making a mess of it; now got to do the dishes and also make do with frozen pizza for dinner.”

For those out there who find it easier to learn with audio inputs and don’t mind rock garage: just found this little song with a fun “to do list” featuring some of the most common usages of the make/do.
