I`ve been doing the same here but I have to confess that after a period of time, you just get tired and give up on doing it longer. (That`s what happened to us). Recently, We`ve been slacking off a little, but there are some times that we speak in english to each other, especially when we hear or learn a new word, idiom or so.
Congrats on that Bro! Keep doing it!

We've done that here, but with french, when we were preparing ourselves to the B2 DELF test and we've improved a lot, so I vow for that!.

My wife doesn't speak english, so I cant do it in that language, just in french.

This was a few years ago.

Nowadays I'm raising my daughter bilingual (or trying to). Actually we're trying to raise her trilingual, thus I try to speak to her only in english and french and rely on the environment around her to learn portuguese.

In practical terms, portuguese is so strong, it is a daily struggle to keep it away. I do mix portuguese, english and french a lot. The native language is strong, too much!

One of the most hard things is that since she is less than 2 years old, her screen time is zero. Therefore we need to produce the language ourselves. That's very tiresome.

@FlyCavok cara, teve uma época em que me meti em latim, grego antigo e hebraico ao mesmo tempo. Não prestou. Começava a falar numa e ia pulando pra outra. Não saia frase nenhuma na mesma lingua.

Hoje em dia to ployon ainda estin en bizdantio enquanto a puela cantat e ani rotse lischtot maim. Seja lá o que for isso.
