Yeah, it gets annoying when anyone repeats something ceaselessly but, imnsho, not being able to pay attention says more about you than about the other person. You don't know what she was going through, if she had many problems in her head at the moment, if she was feeling pressured by something. And even if she just has a poor vocabulary, it shouldn't stop you from learning. 

I can speak for myself that once you get rid of this prejudice you become waaay humbler and open minded to the ideas and less caring about the message-carrier

Yes. When i was studying english some years back from now, that was this girl who had a nice english, good pronunciation  but she was also addicted to using like all the time. In her head, she sounded so native by repeating this word in every sentence.
Maybe she got it from a problematic native person hahahaha and so thought this was the right pathway to look fluent

Hi, 

I don't think it should stop you from understanding the subject matter of the lecture. Even in portuguese a lot of people say "tipo", "'eh" a lot, and while it is annoying it is not a barrier to learning. So, I think you should attend to more lectures like this and try to make small annotations, so you'll keep track of the content being taught.
