Encontrei um canal no Youtube bem interessante pra quem tá na área de desenvolvimento. Há vários tutoriais interessantes lá e outros vídeos mais gerais falando de carreira, empreendedorismo, etc. Dentre esse vídeos achei este aqui que lista alguns itens interessantes de ser um desenvolvedor. Ele foca mais em web mas os itens listados valem praticamente pra área de desenvolvimento em geral.
Importante: não é obrigatório pra começar na área saber inglês, mas não saber inglês vai te limitar bastante, então tentem assistir ao vídeo, ele não tem legendas em português, só auto-gerada em inglês, e pode servir como um treino de inglês: assistir com a legenda caso seu listening seja ruim e reassistir sem legendas. E pra quem tá estudando programação, recomendo consumir bastante conteúdo em inglês. Vai te ajudar a aprender desenvolvimento e aprender inglês simultaneamente.

Tá, tem itens questionáveis como a questão do diploma, mas mesmo nesses itens ao comentá-los o autor diz que é melhor ter do que não ter, mas só o diploma não vai adiantar muita coisa. Um bom portfólio será muito mais importante na carreira.
