Salut!!

@ArthurShelby

Our friend @Arthur Shelby is already humiliating us haha
badhaee ho, mitr, @Arhur Shelby.

@Marcelo.

French surely seems challenging with all those accents and double letters. I'm guessing it's an opaque language, whose letters might be pronounced differently according to their position on the word or even from one word to another, without any obvious rule of thumb. I'm planning to start studying it a few months from now

I think Bastter should change the default language of the general forum to english. I know it's impossible to control, and the idea is not to forbid people to write in portuguese. But, if there is more posts starting in english, I think it would be a great opportunity for people to seek for translation and to acquire knowledge of the language. We could also give hints and indicate corrections to our answers, making it a way for everyone to improve their english skills.

That's amazing.
One of the tips to improve the study in some languages is praticy and contact. All the days I'm looking for the opportunity to read, listening, write or speak, and now, here, every day I see something. And it's very important, help a lot.
I'm very grateful to all you folks!

@Alice.V

Good old Shakespeare the rescue  Have you been reading the bard? :)

On a daily basis, English and Portuguese. German at Stammtisch events whenever I manage to attend. Used to speak passable French, not anymore. Studied Italian, but never got past pre-intermediate level. A very bad mistaken riddled version of Spanish.

Amazing post! It's perfect for practicing!

My fiancee is a french teacher at the Federal University. I'm a profissional musician. I work in a philharmonic orchestra playing a lot of different music and operas.

In our last vacation we (noticed ?) that it's necessary to practice more to get safe in many situations. We made a deal: try to only speak english at home, a few days in the week at start, raising to all week when we getting better and (confidence ?).

Thanks for the opportunity!

It's a very very interesting post! So I'm trying writting something in English a little every day. So I wrote this one a few weeks ago, about the Kobe Bryant's death. Here we Go:

The truth is: I'm so sad!
I'm sad because I lost one of my biggest and greatest Idols! Kobe Bryant was a genius, inside and out of the court. A man who never was perfect, and never wanted to be. But, his mentality always was: KEEP GROWING, BE BETTER! As a person, as basketball player, as husband, as a father. No matter what it takes for. Keep getting better! And this mentality always has inspired me!
As Lebron said: "I'll keep your legacy alive!" In my life from now on!
God be with you and with all in that helicopter and take care of your families!
Rest in Peace! Thank for everything! Black Mamba For Life!

I hope you guys here can help and show me my mistakes on this text! Thanks!

@Sid.13

O trecho "I'm trying writting something..."
eu escreveria "I'm trying TO WRITE something...."
