Chama BUCHETTI.

É a versão esotérica da maluquice do mindset.

Why does it feel like ‘My thoughts control my behaviour’? – holisticelephants

However, there are other reasons why it seems like our words automatically get other people to do what we ask of them:

they were frequently going to do it anyway

we tend to ask only people with whom we have an on-going reciprocal sONcial relationship (which gives the ‘power’ to our words)

we tend not to directly ask people to do things anyway if they are unlikely to comply (related to reciprocities)

we do not ask people to do things when we know they will not do them

we tend to ask only reasonable requests and not unusual or difficult requests

So why do we believe that our thoughts are controlling our behaviours?

we were always going to do it anyway because of the contexts we are in—whether we thought about it or not

our ‘thinking about something before doing it’ only occurs with special things we do, most frequently those which have additional sONcial relationships requirements which might need to be responded to before or after what we are doing

because of the above we hugely underestimate how much we do in life

without

any concurrent thinking (because we are not concurrently responding sONcially in words so we are not aware that we are not thinking about what we are doing)

we underestimate occasions on which for

sONcial

engagement we ‘promise ourselves’ to do something but it never happens; on those (rare) occasions when it does eventuate, the sONcial engagement brings it about not our thinking itself (“I will stop eating chocolate tomorrow”)

if we are ‘thinking’ (rather than saying publicly) what we are doing there will be no sONcial consequences because it is not out loud, so there is less likelihood we are controlling our actions with the thinking but it appears even more so

@KAM_Me

- Leia Espinoza.
